Supporting Team 871

Financing

We are a student group, we do not gain any profit, or sell anything. Our school does not cover the entire cost of being an FRC team. The enrollment fee is only a small fraction compared to building a fully functional robot, competition fees, transportation, etc. Donations and Sponsors are greatly appreciated and a significant way of covering these costs.

Mentoring

Being a student means that we aren't able to do everything ourselves. We need mentors who can guide us, and help us operate as a team. Mentors are usually parents from current or past team members. Volunteers and mentors are more experienced than the students, but they are only here to teach the students, not do the work for us. Our mentors bring their expertise to share with our team. Team 871 is always looking for new people to volunteer.

Sponsoring

Why should you sponsor? With a large donation, your company's logo/family's name will be placed onto our robot, team shirts which are seen by scouts at our competition, and placed on our website as a way to show your support of our team, FRC, and giving access to STEAM in every community. We understand not every company can donate funds, but instead materials. That supply is counted towards sponsorship instead. Our team also will reach out to any old sponsor, in order to keep in contact with them. Determining how well our team does at competition, your logo will be shown locally or possibly nationally as our sponsor.

More specially you will receive exposure through:

  • Audience at competitions.

  • One regional and one potentially national competition.

  • Social Media platforms.

  • Outreach events.

  • Our website, which will be linked directly to your company's site.
