What is the Woodie Flowers Award?
The award is to recognize a team's mentor who has gone above and beyond for their team and community. It is a way to say thank you for all the hard work that mentors and volunteers put into help students become the next science and technology leaders.
The award is named in honor of Woodie Flowers, a professor at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was Co-Chair on the FIRST Executive Advisory Board as well as the one to create the term 'gracious professionalism'.
